Members of the North Dakota Archaeological Association lead interpretive tours of the recently completed Chief Looking's Village archaeological project.

Chief Looking's Village is located at 2023 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck, ND and was the sixteenth century (circa 1550-1590) home to the Mandan Indians.

Two hundred and sixteen (216) people registered for and participated in the guided tours which consisted of a walking history review of the village in addition to an overview of the archaeological project underway.

A "Send" (Suitcase Exhibits for North Dakota) trunk provided by the State Historical Society of North Dakota (SHSND) was used so the kids could touch and examine artifacts similar to those being excavated at the site.

In addition, the NDAA tour trunk containing water for the thirsty participants and bison bones from the State Historical Society of North Dakota was used and proved to be a tour favorite.
